JMJ Sports Academy
   
     
A passionate focus area for the group is sports and the group hopes to help steer Indian sport to a brighter future.

The JMJ Sports Academy is Vice-Chairman Sachiin Joshi’s baby. It aims to provide world-class infrastructure and training facilities for the development of sports such as cricket, football, hockey, gymnastics and athletics. It will also provide financial support for sports persons, both men and women, aspiring to be country athletes without resources etc.

The Academy has, at its heart the vision that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Sports create better mental health in young people which helps steer them away from negative influences and thereby build a better future for their country.

The JMJ Sports Academy started its operations on August 4, 2008. The Academy is managed by Pradeep Ingale, ex-Ranji player and a level III cricket coach certified by BCCI. The Academy has currently recruited 17 players. Amongst them, 3 represent Maharashtra State in the Ranji Trophy, 4 in U-22 games, 4 in U-19 players, and 4 represent Pune University.

The Academy provides practice facilities and equipment to the players as well as pays a stipend or offers employment to them. The Academy has played 11 cricket matches so far and has won 10 of them including a T20 Cricket Tournament at Sangamner. It plans to participate in several cricket tournaments across India in the future.

It also plans to build a cricket stadium and support its vision of providing all-round facilities to the sports people of this country and to create state and national level teams.
